YANGON, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities voiced readiness to start on Tuesday to receive displaced people repatriated from Bangladesh fleeing Rakhine conflict.

Speaking at a press conference in Nay Pyi Taw in the day, Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye said Myanmar will receive the verified returnees at Taung Pyo Letwe and Nga Khu Ya reception centers, while adding Hla Pho Kaung as a transit camp for the returnees.

Asked about no displaced people were sent back yet from the Bangladesh side on the designated Tuesday, Win Myat Aye replied that coordination will continue with the other side's working group on the repatriation process for further action.

In accordance with the agreement on the repatriation reached at their first meeting of joint working groups of foreign ministries of the two countries in Nay Pyi Taw on Jan. 16, Myanmar and Bangladesh are to repatriate the refugees under a physical plan starting Tuesday.

The ARSA extremist terrorists launched attacks on police outposts in Rakhine on Aug. 25 last year, displacing residents from a number of areas in Maungtaw district.
