MADRID, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Friday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 rising 0.43 percent or 41.60 points, to a total of 9,739.80 points.

A total of 30 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.

Supermarket chain DIA advanced 17.19 percent, being the top gainer of the session. Infrastructure company Ferrovial went up by 2.57 percent and leading building group ACS rose 1.98 percent.

Airline group IAG lost 2.47 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Travel technology industry Amadeus IT Group fell 0.20 percent and hotel chain Melia Hotels went down by 0.18 percent. Enditem
