JERUSALEM, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Israeli company Moovit announced Tuesday a new deal with Microsoft's cloud service Azure, to provide the U.S. tech giant with the public transport interface for its new maps navigation service.

The deal amount was not disclosed in the company's announcement, but it was estimated at tens of millions of U.S. dollars.

Moovit, founded in 2012 in the city of Ness Ziona in central Israel, is an urban mobility data analytics company.

It provides public transport information in 2,600 cities in 85 countries. A new city is added to its service every 15 hours.

Under the new agreement, Moovit's public transit information will be integrated into Azure Maps and will be available to all developers using the tool.

As part of the collaboration, Moovit will run the server layer that provides application programming interface (API) services to developers on Azure.

It will gradually transfer its other products to the Azure environment. Microsoft will be able to integrate Moovit's public transport data into its own applications and services.
