NAIROBI, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Two-time World marathon champion Edna Kiplagat says she is not done yet and will be happy to make Kenya team to the World Championships in Doha, Qatar in October.

Kiplagat, who will be 40 by September 15, is still keen to win her third gold at the championships.

It will be her fourth attempt and she believes she still has the energy and inspiration to go the extra mile to reclaim the title Kenya lost to Bahrain in London in 2017.

"I had planned to win my third gold at the World Championships, two years ago, but I missed after Bahrain's Rose Chelimo beat me in the last 100m and I want to revenge," said Kiplagat on Wednesday.

The six-star athlete, who has raced and won medals in all the six World Marathon Majors (WMM) big cities in Boston, London, Chicago, Tokyo, Berlin and New York, says she is still inspired and looks up to the prospects of winning her third gold in Qatar.

Kiplagat lost out to Ethiopia's Worknesh Degefa in Boston on Monday, but the Kenyan says she is happy with her performance.

"Thank you everyone, it was a tough race but I did my best," she said. "I will now proceed to vacation."
