CHICAGO, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat futures closed down on Tuesday.

The most active soybean contract for July delivery went down 6.75 cents, or 0.78 percent to close at 8.54 U.S. dollars per bushel. July corn delivery was up 0.75 cent, or 0.21 percent to close at 3.625 dollars per bushel. July wheat delivery was down 6.5 cents, or 1.49 percent to close at 4.2875 dollars per bushel.

Chicago wheat contracts were under pressure from improving U.S. crop conditions and good crop weather in key U.S. and Black Sea production areas.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported on Monday that 64 percent of winter wheat was in good or excellent condition as of April 28, up from 62 percent a week earlier.

Soybean futures fell for a third straight session on Tuesday and struck fresh contract lows in most months as burdensome global stocks and sluggish U.S. exports dragged prices lower, triggering technical selling.

Corn futures rebounded late in the session on worries over spring planting delays in the U.S. Midwest, with traders turning to short-covering. Enditem
