AMMAN, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Monday said the solution to the issue of the no-man's land refugee camp at the borders between Jordan and Syria lies in the return of the Syrian refugees to their cities.

The remarks were made by Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Monday at a meeting with U.S. Congress panel known as the "Syria Study Group" (SSG), chaired by Michael Seng, where they discussed the developments in the region.

Safadi stressed the need for a political solution to the crisis in Syria and urged intensified international efforts to achieve such a solution that would preserve the unity and cohesion of Syria.

The minister also highlighted challenges Jordan is facing due to hosting 1.3 million Syrian refugees.

On the Rukban camp at the no man's land between the two countries, the minister said the camp is the responsibility of Syria as it is possible to deliver aid to the camp via Damascus.
