YANGON, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A total of 119 more Myanmar refugees have been brought back home from Thailand on the third day of repatriation of the fourth batch of refugees, according to the Foreign Ministry Thursday.

The verified refugees mainly from Mae La Camp returned through Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge in Myawaddy, southeastern Kayin state on Wednesday.

The three days' repatriation of refugees of the fourth batch, which began on Monday, has brought the total number of returnees to 310.

They were being arranged for sending back to their respective homes with humanitarian and financial assistance provided by the authorities.

The Myanmar government has been working to ensure the return of more than 100,000 Myanmar refugees taking shelter in nine camps on the Thai-Myanmar border. They were being sent back to their homeland in batches since the first on Oct. 26, 2016 on voluntary basis.

The Myanmar refugees, who fled domestic conflicts since decades ago, were being covered by a short- and long-term program as part of the undertakings of Myanmar's national reconciliation and peace process.
