Yemen's Houthis launched drones against Saudi Arabia's Abha airport, targeting the fuelling station and the control tower, according to a military spokesperson.

SANAA, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi movement launched drones against Saudi Arabia's Abha airport, the group's Al-Masirah TV said on Saturday citing a military spokesperson, according to a Reuters report.

The drones targeted the fuelling station and the control tower at the airport, the spokesperson said.

There has been no confirmation from Saudi authorities.

The Houthi rebels control much of Yemen's north and has been fighting a Saudi-led coalition forces since 2014.

Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab military coalition against Houthis in Yemen for more than four years in support of the exiled internationally-recognized government of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
